Red Sox Sign Adrian Gonzalez for 7 years-$154 million

That headline should read: Red Sox Suck and They Love to Waste Money.

Well thats not true cause Gonzo is without a doubt a top-5 first baseman but I just hate the Red Sox right now. Both Billy Blog and I are die-hard Sawx fans and right now we are dying hard. After what might be the best offseason ever, the Sox are looking as bad as Lindsay Lohan's chances of staying out of jail. They can't hit when their pitching does well and they can't pitch when they're hitting does well. Basically they suck and I won't be surprised at all if they finish 13-149.

boston red sox Adrian Gonzalez contract 154 7 years sign losing
Anyways, the Sox signed Gonzo to a 7 year, 154 million dollar contract. Gonzalez receives a $6 million signing bonus, $21 million per year from 2012-16 and $21.5 million per year in 2017 and 2018.The contract also possess a partial no-trade clause. Hopefully this will inspire the Sox to quit sucking dick and start winning some games.

Yes We McCann

The National League finally won the All-Star game for the first time since 1996 thanks in large part to Brian McCann. He ripped a 3 RBI bases clearing double to right in the 7th inning off of White Sox pitcher Matt Thornton. Thornton relieved Yankees pitcher Phil Hughes after he gave up 2 one-out singles. I am a die-hard Red Sox fan (along with Blog Dylan) and it pains me to see the American League lose but at least it was a Yankees player that crapped the bed.

The rest of the game was pretty boring, much like the World Cup final, as the score was 1-0 most of the game. Cano hit a sac fly in the 5th inning off of Dodgers pitcher Hong-Chih Kuo to put the AL up 1-0. The pitchers from both squads were dominant (except for Phil Hughes and Matt Thornton, you bastards). The NL win means they will have home-field advantage in the World Series.

Matt Capps was credited with the win, Phil Hughes the loss and Jonathan Broxton the save.

O-M-G!?!?

Whelp the internet, specifically YouTube, never ceases to amaze me and I happened to come upon this little gem of a video today. Some guy did a parody of Phil Collins' song Sussudio and all I can say right now is WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY? I love the Red Sox, I do, but it's things like these that make me question some of the fans. Something like this shouldn't be made for any player, let alone Marco Scutaro and his career .266 batting average. Enjoy (if that's even possible).
