BREAKING NEWS: Terrell Pryor Leaves Ohio State, Ends College Career

terrell pryor ohio state leaving quit jim tressel college football tattoo
Terrell Pryor's lawyer, Larry James, just confirmed to the Plain Dealer that Pryror will be leaving Ohio State and ending his college career. James read a statement from Pyror that said:
"In the best interest of my team, I have decided to forego my senior year of football at the Ohio State University."
In December the NCAA suspended Pryor and 4 teammates for the first 5 games of the 2011 season for trading championship rings, jerseys and awards to a Columbus tattoo artist for money and tattoos. Exactly a week ago today, head coach Jim Tressel resigned after reports surfaced that players received other improper benefits including cars. Apparently he was driving around a Nissan 350Z on a suspended license and in this video doesn't stop at the red light and just speeds off.

This is the best news of the day. Honestly, Terrell Pryor can go fuck himself. The rules might not be the best but they are still the rules and he knew what they were and he still broke them multiple times. Ohio State keeps proving they are a classless university that has to cheat to get to big bowl games. And who trades championship rings and other memorabilia to a tattoo artist in exchange for tattoos and money? Like, really?!? I can't wait until the Foreskins pick him in the supplemental draft and Skins training camp will be a face-off of the Mormon vs. the guy who traded memorabilia for tattoos vs. Sexy Rexy. Foreskins for the next season of Hard Knocks, anyone?

Reggie Bush To Return Heisman

Reggie Bush is a fucking g. He banged Kim Kardashian, had an amazing college career, and now is a Super Bowl winner. You think he cares if he has to give back the trophy? Not a fucking chance. I'm sure he got tired of all the attention and negative press so he probably just said, "Fuck it you can have it back". Bush gave some lame quotes about how important the trophy was to him and his team but I stopped reading cause I didn't see anything about Kim or her tits.

Georgia's A.J. Green Suspended for 3 Games

This just in: A.J. Green is a fucking dumbass. Apparently he took his jersey he wore in last year's Independence Bowl and sold it on eBay for $1,000. Seriously? You're going to sell your jersey and not think you're gonna get in trouble for it? The NCAA suspends athletes if an agent tells them bless you after a sneeze but you think this is alright?

Georgia is going into a big SEC clash this weekend against South Carolina and Green will also miss a match up against #14 Arkansas. The 6'4" Green (I'm 6'4" too, thinking about going pro, thoughts?) is widely considered a top 5 pick in next year's NFL draft and perhaps the best WR in the NCAA.

Georgia will appeal the decisions.

Ingram Still "Doubtful" For Penn State Game This Weekend

Great news for any fans of the Nittany Lions or creepy old dudes (gross) came out today when Alabama team officials said Heisman winner Mark Ingram is likely out for the big game this weekend against Penn State. Ingram had surgery on his left knee two weeks ago and only started running this weekend. Ingram sat out of Alabama's opener against San Diego State (shocking I know, you would have thought they would really need him for that game) and back up Trent Richardson had 10 carries for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns. He only played the first half.

NCAA Denies Jeremiah Masoli's Waiver

Everybody remembers Jeremiah Masoli as Oregon's star QB who was suddenly kicked off the team after multiple run ins with law enforcement. Dumbass, I mean Jeremiah, Masoli was first suspended after pleading guilty to theft of a fraternity house, and was later removed from the team after a possession of marijuana charge.

Jeremiah Masoli oregon college football ole miss
Masoli had finished his undergraduate degree but had one year left of eligibility. Masoli enrolled as a graduate student at Ole Miss and the NCAA will usually waive the one year sit out when the player declares a major at his new school not offered at his former. Masoli was a shoe in to be the starter at Ole Miss until the news he was ruled ineligible. He will be able to practice with the squad and play next. year.

Masoli and Ole Miss will appeal the ruling.

Fuck School, but College Football Rocks

School sucks but lets be honest, we can all find positives about heading back to the old books. A) Dumb freshman chicks wanting to get ruffie- I mean have fun; B) excuses to drink all the time; C) College Mother Fucking Football.

Now we all know Old Dominion has the greatest football team in the world, but Alabama might not be too far behind. Unfortunately for them, they will be without their Heisman winning running back Mark Ingram. Ingram underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday Morning. Ingram had the injury late in practice Monday and underwent the surgery shortly after. Coach Saban called it a "situation where everyone thought it would be better to take care of now, so he would not have any issues with it later in the season."

Alabama is only ruling Ingram out for the first game right now, but it is very unlikely he'll be ready for the Tide's second game against Penn State. Lucky for Alabama fans, they got a guy named Trent Richardson who won't do too bad of a job filling in for Ingram. Richardson rushed for 751 yards and scored eight touchdowns as Ingram's back-up. Not too shabby.

Alabama Tops Preseason Poll

Can Alabama roll tide roll to another national championship? The coaches poll certainly thinks so. The Crimson Tide was overwhelmingly voted number 1 in the preseason polls, getting 55 out of 59 first place votes. The Most Overrated University (The Ohio State University) received the other 4 votes. OSU comes in 2nd, Florida 3rd, and Texas (who lost to Bama in last year's championship game) is in 4th. Boise State rounds out the top 5. Virginia Tech, TCU, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa finish out the top 10.

Tim Tebow is the New Jockey Spokesman

Tim Tebow has just become the new spokesperson for Jockey. Not, that isn't a joke. The abortion hating, super Christian, mama's boy will be the spokesman for an underwear (and socks, etc.) company. He was quoted as saying, "They make a quality product with a great fit." Jockey also released a press statement about a new line of underwear that double as a chastity belt. Pretty much everyone outside of Gainesville, Florida hates Tim Tebow and I have come across some incredible puns and jokes in regards to this news story. Some of my favorites:

tim tebow jockey spokesman
"I assumed he'd be a Fruit of the Womb guy."

"
In an attempt to parallel his NFL career, the type of underwear he will be sponsoring will be the brief."

"Holy shit! No, those are just Tim's skid-marks."

-"Now as you can see Tim, we here at Jockey are very serious about the quality of our product. For instance, look here at this waistband--"
-"Wristband? I'm in."

"
So pick up a couple of Jockey's new form-fitting Ts, because remember: the sleek shall inherit the Earth."

tim tebow jockey spokesman ncaa 2011 cover
As mentioned in the podcast a few weeks ago, Tebow is on the cover of NCAA 2011 and some Alabama-area Gamestop stores have inserted their own custom covers on copies of the game. It features Tim Tebow crying after losing to Alabama in the SEC championship game and another picture of him crying over his own shoulder. Pure brilliance. I could watch this video all day on repeat.

The Demise of the Big 12

Yesterday Nebraska all but confirmed they would jump ship and head to the Big Ten (the official announcement is expected tomorrow). Today Colorado announced they would be moving to the Pac-10. There are other reports that Okalahoma State is right behind them. Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas Tech are also expected to leave the Big 12 and join the Pac-10. That would leave the Pac-10 with 16 teams, the Big Ten with 12 teams and the Big 12 with 5 (Missouri, Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas and Baylor). In other words - the Big 12 is finished. You can't have a conference with 5 teams and as much as they try to persuade schools like TCU, BYU or Utah to join them it still wouldn't be the Big 12 of old.

Why did all of this happen? Well for one, the Big Ten distributed nearly $20 million to each of its 11 teams last year. In comparison, Texas (the most profitable team in the Big 12) received $10 million from the Big 12. The huge increase in revenue for Big 12 schools is an obvious reason to move to the Big Ten or Pac-10. Many people expect college football to end up with 4 "mega conferences" after everything is finished.

The Big Ten has reportedly given Notre Dame a June 15th deadline to accept an invitation to join its conference. Although the Irish love being an Independent their television contract with NBC is up soon and they stand to get shut out of the new mega conference format which would make it even harder for them to reach the national championship.

Early Winners - Big Ten, Pac-10, Nebraska, Colorado, Playoff format
Early Losers - Big 12, Baylor (it was reported the Pac-10 would select either them or Colorado)

Pete Carroll - Smartest Man in America

Way to go Lane Kiffin - you left a pretty good job at Tennessee with great recruits on the way to take your "dream job" at USC. Did your dream job consist of not being eligible for the post-season the next 2 years, the loss of at least 20 scholarships and a stream of negative press that makes Lindsay Lohan happy she isn't the most talked about subject in LA? Pete Carroll looks like he pulled a Calipari and bolted right before things got hot - smart move dude (I assume Carroll says things like "dude" since he's from California).

The NCAA imposed sanctions on the University of Spoiled Children after concluding a recent investigation into $100,00+ in gifts given to Reggie Bush while he was still in school. In addition to the post-season ban and loss of scholarships, USC will have to forfeit all of their wins from the 2004 season. They just so happened to go 13-0 that year with a 55-19 slaughter over Oklahoma in the championship game. Reggie Bush hasn't lost his 2005 Heisman Trophy...yet...but does it really matter if they do take it away from him? Does Reggie really care about the Heisman? He just won a Super Bowl. What are the benefits for him being in the "Heisman Club" now? Being able to call up Danny Wuerffel or Doug Flutie to hang out?

With all this conference realignment talk the Pac-10 may wind up being the Pac-16. If that happens it would mean good and bad things for USC. The good - they stand to make a butt ton more money from all of the extra revenue generated with the new teams. The bad - the lack of post-season play and scholarships will hurt their chances of winning even more with 6 new teams added to the mix.

Jeremiah Masoli is a Re-Tard

Jeremiah Masoli, quarterback for the Oregon Ducks, was officially kicked off the team today after he was arrested for possession of marijuana a few days ago. He was also driving with a suspended license. In January he broke into a frat house and did some damage which led to Oregon coach Chip Kelly suspending him for the 2010 season. This latest arrest put him over the edge and the Ducks weren't willing to deal with him anymore.

It's a shame because he was just starting to make a name for himself after leading Oregon to the Rose Bowl this past season. If he had been on his best behavior he would have been able to play in 2011 but the kid just doesn't know what's good.
