On Trend with REGARD Magazine .... Color Trend- Red and Blue

love to eat! So imagine how excited I was to discover private chef to the stars Sasha Pearl-Raver was going be in the magazine this month. She’s an amazing beauty and makes beautiful plates for some of the coolest and wealthiest people in Los Angeles. The Dalia MacPhee dresses she wears in the pictorial are stunning, and it was really cool to see the short teal frock paired with hot red booties.

I love blue and red together, but it’s a tricky color combination. While there’s nothing wrong with patriotism very easily, one could look like the American flag on the Fourth of July. To avoid looking like our beloved star spangled banner, here are a few ideas to keep your outfit chic, and not band geek.

1. Use colors to add depth and freshness to an otherwise two color outfit. Here, I’ve added a white cropped sweater with multicolored hearts, and added a mint colored belt.

2. Add neutrals to break up the primary color frenzy. In this outfit, the wide leg trouser khaki trouser and tan suede clutch make the blending of red and blue really sophisticated.

3. Mix prints to create texture. In this last outfit, I’ve paired   a printed tunic with turquoise jewelry and an ethnic, beaded clutch. These elements add complexity to a simple tunic and jeans.

This color combo is really cool and can be very stylish. Give it a try!  Enjoy!

1. Striped Tank, 2. Cropped Sweater, 3. Floaty Skirt, 4.Green Belt, 5. Red Pump, 6. Beige Purse 7. Cropped Sweater, 8. White Muscle Tank, 9. Wide Leg Pants  10.Yellow Patent Belt, 11. Suede Clutch, 12. Wooden Wedge, 13. Print Tunic, 14. Wide Leg Jeans, 15. Beaded Clutch, 16. Chandelier Earrings, 17. Colorful Bangles, 18. Red Suede Wedge

On Trend with Regard Magazine ....Cocktail Dresses

With the holidays fast approaching, it’s easy to allow the stresses of the season, and the financial hardships of the recession to hinder one from buying a new dress for that December office party, or holiday charity event. Fear Not. We have a solution: celebrity looks for a steal.

Here are our picks for a great cocktail dress, in the same likeness as the very high-end Marchesa dress worn by Jada Pinkett‐Smith, for a deal. Enjoy!

Let's Tango.....Behind the scenes with Dancing with the Stars' Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower

Dancing with the Stars dancers Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower showed us their moves for our editorial shoot. As you can see from their tango moves,  they are at the top of their game.   True to form, Mark has really transformed Bristol Palin and turned into quite a dancer.  And although Chelsie and Michael Bolton are no longer on the show this season, she did help him get his dance on, too.   As you can see from the video they had a fun time setting up their poses.....  And Chelsie and Mark really hit the mark with a dramatic split....WOW!!    Special Thanks to Dalia MacPhee for the gorgeous gowns....
