Last Night was the results show for “American Week” on "Dancing with the Stars." Sadly, friend to the magazine and DWTS Pro, Dmitry Chaplinand his partner, former model Petra Nemcova, were not safe from elimination and they danced into the sunset.
A few weeks ago, Dmitry took some time out of his busy dance schedule to come shoot with us and his pictorial is smashing in this month’s issue. He looks dapper in the clothing line Alchemy. He keeps it simple but incredibly chic in muted tones of grey and charcoal, with black and slate blue. This basic color combination is a great foundation for any professional man’s wardrobe. It’s completely possible so have a few basics in interesting prints and fabrics, and rotate them to maximize style but keep your closet minimal. Here is one pair of trousers and one plaid oxford worn 2 ways. One casual, perfect to hit the bar after work and one more dressed; a great option for a dinner date. Using tones of grey with black and white don’t have to be boring. Use cool eye catching prints like plaid and interesting visual details, like a blazer with a zipper to add weight and significance to this muted color scheme. Also, variations in tone within the same color family makes for a cool chromatic effect. If your tones are too similar, it will look too matchy and won’t be flattering. Try to avoid looking like a block of cement. Have fun!
Dancing with the Stars dancers Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower showed us their moves for our editorial shoot. As you can see from their tango moves, they are at the top of their game. True to form, Mark has really transformed Bristol Palin and turned into quite a dancer. And although Chelsie and Michael Bolton are no longer on the show this season, she did help him get his dance on, too. As you can see from the video they had a fun time setting up their poses..... And Chelsie and Mark really hit the mark with a dramatic split....WOW!! Special Thanks to Dalia MacPheefor the gorgeous gowns....
